Flows help you send timely communications to recipients via email or SMS and can apply specific actions. With flows, you can trigger a message, or series of messages, based on any activity or behavior of the users- such as making a purchase or abandoning a cart. The ShopAgain account will use the data to trigger and target automated flows.

Basic flows to start with

Here are the most basic flows to start with in this particular order:

Welcome series flow
Abandoned cart flow
Browse abandonment flow
Post-purchase (Thank you series, Cross-sell series, etc.)
Winback flow

Types of flow event-based triggers:

Every flow must have an event trigger. The event trigger is what automates the flow. There are three types of event-triggered flows:

List: People will qualify to enter a list-triggered flow when they are added to a specific list. One example is the welcome series.

Metric: People will qualify to enter a metric-triggered flow when they take a specific action (for example, placing an order). To see all possible metrics that can trigger a flow, check out your account's Metrics within the Analytics tab.

Segment: People will qualify to enter a segment-triggered flow when they are added to a specific dynamic segment.

To create a flow, you will have to select a Multi-Touch Campaign from the campaign type.

Now, click on the OPEN FLOW EDITOR button. Once you click on the button, the flow editor will open.

To divide users into two parts to send a personalized message, we can drag Split and drop.

Once you click on the Configure your Split on, Right-hand side, a window will open. You can Select a condition from here.

We can select a User Has Property or User Performed Event from the drop-down menu, whichever is required.

Now, users will be divided into two different sides. Yes and No. As per the flow requirement, we can drag and drop the Email and SMS in the flow.

Set a message Delay time between different emails or SMS where the delay time can be in Minutes, Hours, Days, Weeks, or Months.

Click on the Email to set up the email name, subject line, preview text, and select the email template. To draft an SMS you can click on the SMS

Once the flow is set up, click on the SAVE button right top to save the flow and close the flow Editor.
