How to set up Facebook Custom Audiences on your store

Facebook Custom Audiences Overview



The Facebook Custom Audiences app allows you to use the information about your customer's shopping behavior, engagement with your emails, or any other data you’ve collected with ShopAgain to build a Custom Audience for targeted ads on Facebook.

You’ll also benefit from the dynamic synchronization of any of your contacts, regardless of status.

Before you start



To access the features of this integration, you'll need an active Facebook account that manages at least one Facebook Page. This integration doesn't add a signup form or post to your personal Facebook profile.
Have your Facebook Ads Manager connected to Facebook Business Manager
When you set up the integration, you must approve each of Facebook's permission requests.

Connecting the app



In the left sidebar go to settings->Facebook
Click on the Connect with Facebook button



Facebook login popup will appear and asked to provide ShopAgain with your name and profile picture. Click Continue as (your profile name) to proceed.
Make sure all options are enabled → click Done:
You will see option to select the Ad account managed by your Facebook account. Select the account in which you want to manage the account which has Facebook Ads Manager connected to Facebook Business Manager


Syncing segments



Once you have connected your ShopAgain and Facebook Custom Audiences accounts, you need to create a segment on ShopAgain and synchronize it with your Facebook Custom Audiences. We will push data through our API to Facebook, and then Facebook will take that data and sync your Facebook customer profiles.



Go to Audience->Segments and click on more button of a segment which you wanted to sync with your Facebook Custom Audiences.



One popup will appear select or create Custom Audiences for the Sync and Also select Fields Which you wanted to Sync for the users.



Once you sync the audience to Facebook, it will automatically appear in the Audiences section of your Facebook Ads Manager.


Syncing lists



Once you have connected your ShopAgain and Facebook Custom Audiences accounts, you need to create a list on ShopAgain and synchronize it with your Facebook Custom Audiences. We will push data through our API to Facebook, and then Facebook will take that data and sync your Facebook customer profiles.



Go to Audience->Lists and click on more button of a list which you wanted to sync with your Facebook Custom Audiences.



One popup will appear select or create Custom Audiences for the Sync and Also select Fields Which you wanted to Sync for the users.



Once you sync the audience to Facebook, it will automatically appear in the Audiences section of your Facebook Ads Manager.


Important note:



To sync customer profiles to Facebook, they should be logged in with the same email address on Facebook. i.e., the subscriber's email on ShopAgain is subscriber@example.com, and the email address used to log into their Facebook account is the same, subscriber@example.com.

Usually, data sync from ShopAgain to Facebook takes 5-15 minutes, but it also depends on the number of contacts you have and sometimes can take longer to sync (due to the rate limits, as we push data in batches).
