How to Setup WhatsApp API Payment in Your Meta Business Manager

Learn how to set up WhatsApp API payments in your Meta Business Manager to start utilizing WhatsApp for business communications through ShopAgain.

Why Cloud API Billing is Needed

Meta charges for each WhatsApp conversation, as outlined in their pricing here. Since ShopAgain is a direct partner with Facebook, we do not charge any conversation fees. You will be paying Meta directly for these charges through the payment method set up in your Meta Business Manager. This ensures that all costs associated with WhatsApp conversations are managed directly between you and Meta.

Step-by-Step Guide to Add the Payment Method:

1. Open Meta Business Manager

Go to the Facebook Billing Hub to add your payment method. This will take you to Meta Business Manager where you can manage your payment options.

Note: If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so. Ensure that you log in to the Meta Business Manager account associated with ShopAgain.

2. Select Your WhatsApp Business Account

Once in Meta Business Manager, navigate to the WhatsApp Business Accounts tab. From the dropdown on the right side, select the WhatsApp account that is associated with your business.

Once you have selected the account, the page will reload. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you will see the Add Payment button. Click on this button to proceed.

3. Fill in Payment Information

Enter the required payment details and click Next.

Details required on this page:

- Country/Region: Select the location of your business from the dropdown.
- Currency: Choose the currency in which you will make payments to Meta.
- Time Zone: Select the time zone for your business location.

4. Select Your Payment Method

After filling in the required details, choose the payment method and click Next.

5. Provide Payment Details

Enter your payment details into the required fields and click Save.

6. Complete Setup

Once your payment method is added, you will see it listed as the primary method for covering your WhatsApp API payments. Your charges will accrue based on conversations, and Meta will bill the payment method accordingly.

Note: Meta may automatically open a popup asking for your business details. Please add the required details as per your GST.

Alternatively, if the popup does not appear, visit this link, select your WhatsApp account, and you will see an option to add billing details. Please add your business details there.
