How to Delay a Popup from Showing to Users Who Just Landed on Your Website
In the realm of online marketing, popups serve as an invaluable tool for capturing leads, sharing offers, and bolstering user engagement. However, to prevent these popups from becoming intrusive or turning your visitors away, the timing of their appearance is critical. Using ShopAgain, you can delay the popup from showing to users who have just landed on your website, ensuring a better user experience and increasing the chances of engagement. This guide will walk you through the process of configuring this delay.
Step 1: Navigate to Popups and Forms
Log into your ShopAgain account and locate "Popups and Forms" on the sidebar menu.
Step 2: Select Popups
Click on the Popups option under the Popups and Forms section.
Step 3: Edit the Popup Configuration
Identify the popup you want to delay (for this example, we're using a welcome popup). Click on the Edit Config button associated with that popup, and then click on Save and Continue.
Step 4: Go to Display Settings
Scroll down to find the Display Settings section.
Step 5: Select Loading Delay
Under Display Settings, locate and click on the radio button next to Loading Delay.
Step 6: Configure Delay Options
Here, you will see three options for delays. For our purpose, choose the second option, Show seconds after page load. Input the desired number of seconds to delay the popup.
Step 7: Save Your Changes
Scroll down and click on the Save button to apply your changes.
And that's it! You've successfully delayed your popup. By following these steps, you ensure that your website visitors have enough time to get acquainted with your site before your popup appears, making for a more comfortable browsing experience.
