How to Add a Timer to Your Email Template

Incorporating a countdown timer into your email can create a sense of urgency and increase engagement. Follow these steps to add a timer to your email template in ShopAgain.

Step 1: Open the Email Template

Open the email template you wish to edit by clicking on Content from the top left-hand side of the ShopAgain email editor.

Step 2: Add the Timer

Drag the Timer element from the content menu and drop it into your desired location within the email template.

Step 3: Configure the Timer

Click on the Timer element to configure its settings. A configuration window will open on the right-hand side.

Here, you can set the:

- Timer Type: Choose the type of countdown timer.
- Date and Time: Select the end date and time for the countdown.
- Timezone: Set the timezone that applies to the timer.
- Style: Choose a style preset for the timer's appearance.

Step 4: Customize Timer Appearance

Within the same configuration window, customize the timer to fit your theme by adjusting:

- Background Color: Choose a background color for the timer.
- Text Color: Select the color of the countdown numbers.
- Font Family: Pick a font for the timer.
- Label Font Family: Choose a font for the timer labels.
- Padding: Set the padding around the timer to align it within the template.

Make sure to review all settings to ensure the timer looks as intended.

Step 5: Save the Template

Once you are satisfied with the timer settings and appearance, save your changes by clicking the SAVE button located at the top right-hand side of the editor.

By following these steps, you can effectively add a countdown timer to your email campaign, creating urgency and encouraging prompt action from your recipients.
